In 1998 I went through a major ordeal and went back to finish school in 1999. That is the year this painting was completed. This is a self portrait of how I looked back then. My hair was short and I had a few scars. The bandaids and pill container on my nose was my commentary on my post self after having received an almost fatal injury while on my holidays.
