Oily Bird

This painting is a part of the Pollution and the Environment series. The entire series comments on the environmental atrocities that happen to animals all around the world. This painting is about a bird that was swimming in the sea, probably to catch fish to eat for him and his family. Unfortunately he got caught in an oil spill, one of many that happens worldwide. Because of the oil, his wings cannot open up and he cannot swim away. To his or her children he will be gone forever because his wings are now sealed shut. I painted this bird…
