Dusty Rose House
The dusty rose painting is a commission for my client Jennifer Bramble.
The country house in the Caribbean was painted with her grandmother in mind and her love for bright, colourful colours. The dusty rose house is a vibrant coloured house, and there are many structures that are brightly coloured like this in the Caribbean.
This painting in the countryside, on the side of a hill with the rich, mountainous scenery in the background and the man walking is a more sober painting than the Country Home. Country home is more similar to the ghetto and inner city, where houses are not as poised and rich as this one.
Jennifer wanted to me to capture her grandmother’s house with just the right hue of her grandma’s house, which we spoke of several times. She made sure I got it right, and I gladly changed the look for her to ensure her memory was kept alive.
