Atlantic Slave Trade

This painting is a historical rendition of the Atlantic Slave Trade. The first cargo of people carried in ships to be sold as slaves taken from the West coast of Africa. In 1619 the slave trade began. This painting is not a realistic rendition, but a more expressionist view of what the descendants of the Israelite’s went through on their journey to their new homes in central and north and south America. This painting is a part of the History 101 series which is a narrative. This is the fourth painting in the narrative.
